Welcome to the Lounge

The Lounge is no ordinary music venue, nor an ordinary cafe! Its neither an organic bar nor a functional meeting space - its all of these combined and yet more.

We pride ourselves in having hosted a vast array of creative events, ranging from delicate singer songwriter events to fund raiser events with video linkups to India - we have hosted high energy dance nights and sophisticated talks on health and nutrition to name but a few.

Our primary creative ethos is about using our facilities to host events that have generally positive aspirations, either in getting people together or beyond that by conveying a message that inspires and uplifts. To that effect we work with a range of organizations who are already working in this sector.

At present we are working with

• Transition Town Camden - a new initiative to create a local community for environmental change
• Greenpeace - who meet every second Tuesday of the Month at the Lounge - these meetings are open for everyone
• We have organized various fundraisers for the FreeTibet campaign
• We have worked worked with The Age of Stupid Crew
• We have setup video links to India for the Drowned Out FundRaiser
• We have premiered films like the lifeline
• We are also hosting talks on a variety of socio political aspects
