inSpiral Superfood Salad Sprinkles
Raw Superfood Sprinkles!

For a long time, we have wanted to offer a condiment at inSpiral Lounge that can be used on all of our foods...something that can be added to spice up a salad, add a satisfying crunch to roasted vegetables and offer a more exciting alternative to salt and pepper.
After a lot of kitchen alchemy, we are now ready to launch our Superfood Salad Sprinkles (not just for salads)! These superfood sprinkles are made from a combination of optimum nutrition ingredients, herbs and spices and are so delicious they could be eaten alone (but we don’t recommend it)!
The base of all of our sprinkles is our favourite optimum nutrition food – curly kale! The benefits of kale are seemingly endless, but in a nutshell, we love it for its high levels of calcium, magnesium, folate, vitamin C, carotene and iron and excellent antioxidant properties.
We have created 3 delicious varieties that you can come out and try for free at inSpiral Lounge, where we will have them available on every table to add to your meal.
Pizzeria
Our Pizzeria sprinkles are packed with Italian herbs blended with onion and deactivated nutritional yeast for a truly authentic pizza flavour.
Oregano is packed full of phytonutrients - potent antioxidants - and oregano has 4 times the antioxidant power of blueberries per gram. Basil has excellent antiflammatory properties and contains flavonoids that protect cells from radiation and damage, it is also a good source of Vitamin A. Sumac has antioxidant and antiflammatory properties and is a good source of Omega 3. Deactivated nutritional yeast is also a fantastic ingredient – a great source of protein and vitamins, especially B-complex vitamins, although not B12 unless added, and is a complete protein, meaning it offers 18 essential amino acids and 9 that the body cannot produce on its own. The superfood element is one of our favourite wonderfruits, Baobab. Baobab is rich in macronutrients, antioxidants, carotenoids, flavonoids, vitamins B2 & 3 and essential minerals. Baobab contains twice as much calcium as milk, ten times the antioxidant level of oranges – as well as three times the vitamin C – and four times as much potassium as bananas. The seed and pulp are also excellent sources of magnesium, thiamin and phosphorous.
Ingredients: curly kale, baobab, cashew nuts, onion, nutritional yeast flakes, sumac, Himalayan crystal salt, oregano, basil, black pepper, nothing else.
Furikake
For lovers of Japanese flavours, our Furikake sprinkles combine nori seaweed with the supergreen power of wheatgrass and sesame seeds for a traditional flavour packed full of vitamins and minerals.
Nori is a great source of protein - between 30% and 50% - and is actually fairly low in sodium because most of the salt is washed away during processing. It is a good source of vitamin A, folate and niacin, as well as vitamin C. Sesame seeds are a great source of manganese and copper, as well as calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin B1, zinc and dietary fibre. Sesame seeds contain sesamin and sesamolin, that belong to a group of special beneficial fibres called lignans, shown to have a cholesterol-lowering effect. Sesamin has also been found to protect the liver from oxidative damage. Wheatgrass is rich in chlorophyll, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and enzymes as well as containing unique curative properties that aids blood flow, digestion and general detoxification of the body.
Ingredients: curly kale, nori flakes, cashew nuts, sesame seeds, wasabi (horseradish, mustard, spirulina), wheatgrass, Himalayan crystal salt, nothing else.
Mexicana
If you like a hot, smoky flavour, our Mexicana sprinkles contain purple corn, sumac, cumin, paprika and chilli for a subtle spicy hit that will liven up any dish.
Purple corn is a Peruvian superfood which contains a variety of phytonutrients and is known for its high antioxidant content. It is a rich source of anthocyanins, a complex flavonoid with anti-inflammatory properties that encourage connective tissue regeneration, stabilise and protect capillaries and blood vessels from free radical damage, promote collagen formation and improve circulation. It is also claimed that purple corn can help open the third eye chakra and ancient Hopi prophecy claims that when purple corn comes to the West it is a sign that great changes are happening on the planet. Chillies are known to boost circulation which improves heart health, thins blood and helps protect against strokes. They contain capsaicin which can help control insulin levels as it lowers blood sugar. Capsaicin also contains a neuropeptide which has exceptional antiflammatory properties. Paprika also contains capsaicin and is extremely high in vitamin C – a pepper contains up to 9 times the vitamin C of a tomato. Vitamin C is necessary for the uptake of iron from iron-rich foods, such as cumin which is high in iron and also has great antioxidant properties.
Ingredients: curly kale, cashew nuts, nutritional yeast flakes, paprika, cumin, purple corn, oregano, garlic, onion, chilli flakes, Himalayan crystal salt, nothing else.
